Revisions and Additions to Condominium Law - Effective November 1, 2004 2003 Wisconsin Act 283 makes a number of revisions, additions and clarifications to Wisconsin Condominium law. Some of the key provisions of Act 283 are: Disclosure to Condominium Unit Purchases; Reserve Requirement; Annual Budget Requirement; Rental of Condo units; Union Owner & Tenant Liability; Enforcement of Association-Imposed Assessments and Charges; Declarant Responsibility; Small Condominiums (increases the maximum number of units from four to twelve); and repeal of provision of Uncompleted Units. Highway Orders 2003 Wisconsin Act 214 - Effective January 1, 2005 Highway Orders to layout, alter, or discontinue any highway shall be recorded with the register of deeds for the county in which the highway is or will be located. The legislation also directs town board to issue a highway order when any private road or way is widened and to record that order with the register of deeds. Changes to Death Certificates - Effective January 1, 2003 Deaths that occur January 1, 2003 and after now contain a confidential portion with public access restricted. Only those persons with a "direct and tangible" interest may view and/or request copies with the confidential portion. This change does not affect death certificates for deaths that occurred prior to 2003.
