This
1,000 acre park encompasses a magnificent stretch of unique Lake
Michigan beaches, sand dunes, wetlands, and forests, lying two miles
south of Sheboygan. Managed by the Wisconsin Department of Natural
Resources, Kohler-Andrae emerges as one of eastern Wisconsin's most
popular recreational resources. The Park provides extensive picnic
areas and facilities; swimming and beaches for sunbathing; nordic
skiing, hiking, biking, and nature trails; children's play areas;
and 105 developed campsites plus a 50 user group camp facility.
The Sanderling Nature Center provides nature exhibits and lectures
in its 99 seat auditorium during the summer. Nature hikes are regularly

The
Forest offers 61.4 miles of hiking trails, including a 33 mile segment
of the Ice Age National Scenic Trail, 58 miles of groomed snowmobile
trails, 33 miles of bridle trails, and 28 miles of cross country
ski trials, as well as picnicking, hunting, fishing, primitive camping,
mountain biking, and sightseeing. The Ice Age Reserve Visitor Center
