UNIT MISSION STATEMENT:
Our mission is to establish and maintain safety and permanence for children who have been identified as maltreated or at risk of maltreatment.

UNIT SERVICES:
- Case Management Services
Case Management Services are provided to children and families who are experiencing stresses which cause safety concerns. Ongoing case managers provide or arrange for, services which may include ongoing assessment, counseling, advocacy, education, parenting, social life skills, and managed control of safety factors.
- Volunteer Services
Volunteer Services include arranging transportation for individuals or families served by the Department when it is a part of the service plan. Other areas of service may include recruitment and training of volunteers for a variety of duties. Other duties include the coordination of donations for the various holidays, start of school, and other occasions.
- Home Consultant Services
Home Consultant Services provide assistance to families working with the Department in a variety of areas. This can include assistance with budgeting, work search and application, supervision and transportation for visitation, housing search and application, and other related services.
- Foster Care Services
The Foster Care staff recruit, license, and train foster parents. The Foster Care staff offer support and do training in specialized areas, as well as coordinating training opportunities outside of the agency. Relative care providers are also served in various capacities by the Foster Care staff.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT:
All persons referred to Child and Volunteer Services must have a service relationship to Health & Human Services Programming voluntarily or legally as ordered by Juvenile Court.

AUTHORITY:
Services provided within this work unit are governed by the Children's Code, Chapter 48, and state and county mandates.
