MISSION STATEMENT:
The purpose of the Sheboygan County Health
Care Center shall be to establish an integrated system of long
term care delivery designed for and dedicated to providing optimal
services to its constituents. |
VISION STATEMENT:
The vision of the Sheboygan County Health Care Center shall be to become and remain the model organization within the long term care industry |
SUMMARY of RESPONSIBILITIES:
The responsibilities of providing and operating long term care services are varied and complex. In today's world of health care delivery, any such organization is faced with the challenge of meeting the demands of a dynamic industry that is in a state of continual change. While certainly not unique to Wisconsin, the provision of such services by the public sector is not widely found in other venues within the industry. Because the Sheboygan County Health Care Center operates as a pubic institution, the responsibilities assumed by management include factors not normally present in commonly found operations. In order to keep the responsibilities of the Health Care Center broad-based and global in nature, those responsibilities are most probably best divided amongst these six general factors. According to priority, they are:
- The establishment of an organization that is progressive, creative, and futuristic by its nature in order to anticipate the needs of our constituents and those of the long term care industry.
- The ongoing provision of quality, if not optimal, care and service to the
residents we are privileged to serve.
- An accountability to the taxpayers of Sheboygan County and maintaining operations within the bounds of fiscal responsibility.
- The ongoing development of credible, viable, and communicative relationships with the Health Care Center Committee, other Committees and members of the County Board, as well as other County government departments.
- The development of an organization with integrity and purpose thus providing for employees an atmosphere in which to work about which they can be proud.
- The establishment of a network of relationships that will facilitate the dissemination of accurate and timely information to the citizens of Sheboygan County.
