“Did You Know” section on interesting facts relating to Non-Motorized Transportation       WHY CITY SPEED LIMITS ARE IMPORTANT When traveling, just 10 mph faster has some very serious results: Statistics show that an impact to a Pedestrian at speeds slightly above 20 mph have some serious consequences to that Pedestrian. At 20 mph, your survival rate is 95%, but just ten mph faster it drops to 55% (and at 40 mph, your survival chances drop to only 15%).
